Terms and conditions of bus rental:

1. Smoking, vaping and alcohol are prohibited in the bus.
2. Organizations using chartered buses assume full responsibility for the proper supervision of the activities of their passengers and are solely responsible for any claims arising out of any activities, and they agree to indemnify and save harmless the Corporation of the Town of Oakville from all claims arising wherefrom.
3. The person or organization represented by the applicant agrees to compensate the Corporation of the Town of Oakville for any damages/loss to property or equipment that may occur during the applicant’s use of the bus.
4. Oakville Transit must be notified immediately of any changes in contact persons or change in addresses, phone numbers, etc.
5. Minimum of two (2) business days' notice is requested for bookings.
6. All charters are based on three (3) hour minimum per piece of work unless otherwise agreed upon while negotiating the charter.
7. Charter rates apply from the time that the bus leaves the transit yard to the time that the bus returns.
8. Payment must be made within thirty (30) days of the date of the invoice.
9. All passengers must follow the directions of the driver who responsible for the safe operation of the vehicle.
10. Drivers will wait up to thirty (30) minutes for late arrivals. Extra time will be billed to the lessor as it effects the total driver-away time from the transit yard.
11. Cancellations will be accepted until 1pm of the business day prior to the charter start time. Cancellations received after this time will be charged for the full amount of the charter.
12. Oakville Transit reserves the right, through its drivers or supervisors, to cancel a contract for failure to observe any of the aforementioned.
