Neighbourhood Ice Rink Request

Pledge your commitment by starting and maintaining an ice rink at your local park. The Parks and Open Space Department will provide rink boards and water access (if available), and if a source already exists in the park.

Before getting started, please ensure the following:

  1. Meet with others in your neighbouring community to ensure the rink is desired by residents bordering the park.
  2. Get a commitment from the community by obtaining water access where none exists within the park, and scheduling snow clearing and flooding duties.

This is a great way to enjoy winter while bringing your neighborhood together to have some fun!
