Thank you for your interest in hosting an event in the Town of Oakville. To help your event run smoothly and ensure town departments and agencies can support your event needs, the following application timelines apply. Please note that meeting these timelines does not guarantee event approval.
Size of Event
Advance Notice to the Town of Oakville
Under 100 guests
Plan and notify the town at least six (6) weeks ahead of event date
100–500 guests or events with noise exemptions, food vendors, or local road closures (e.g., street/block parties)
Plan and notify the town at least three (3) months ahead of event date
Over 500 guests or events with alcohol service or large road closures
Plan and notify the town six (6) to 12 months ahead of event date

The Town of Oakville Recreation and Culture Department offers a Special Event Fee Assistance Program in the form of fee reductions to community groups for special events that meet the eligibility criteria.
